How do I submit a guest post?
Please use the form at the bottom of the page to submit a guest post to Carob Cherub. You can submit an outline or a completed post for publication.
Can I write a guest post for Carob Cherub?
Yes, you can! The following are examples of guest posts/recipes that may be considered for publication:
- wholesome, plant-based (WFPB) recipes or recipe roundups without added oil, refined sugar, refined grains and containing minimal salt
- a guest post on healthy, actionable and specific weight loss or weight maintenance strategies
- a guest post on tips or strategies for eating healthy/healthier
- a guest post on strategies to prevent or reverse medical problems without drugs or surgery
- reader-friendly research articles about the nutritional benefits/detriments of X with scientific sources
- other healthy, vegan-friendly guest posts you think may be relevant to Carob Cherub (i.e. the other content on this website)
Carob Cherub promotes a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle supported by scientific evidence. Articles on the benefits of fad diets, eating animal products, fashion or pseudo-science will not be published. Please decide on your topic without consulting me. I don’t provide input on article topics.
All articles published and links on Carob Cherub are up to my discretion. I reserve the right to edit your post and to add/remove links as I see fit.
What are the requirements for a guest post?
Blog Posts/Articles
- Use headings in your formatting (i.e. H2, H3, etc.)
- Writing should be relatable, down to earth, upbeat and authoritative. Avoid long sentences and break up large paragraphs.
- The post needs to be 750 words or more after editing. Aim for higher because I edit.
- All articles should be optimized for search engine keywords (i.e. SEO). You will submit your target keyword(s) when you submit your post.
- Site sources and link to a reputable scientific article (e.g. one from NCBI) when making a health claim (not another blog)
- Proofread for grammar, spelling, readability and flow. I recommend Hemingway and will use it when I review your article.
- You’ll need a featured image size 1080 x 625.
- Make other images in the post 864 x 648. Images should be bright and realistic. No cartoons, drawings or animations. Avoid images with plain backdrops when possible.
- Make a Pinterest image to include at the end of the article
- Images in .jpeg or .jpg format
- No articles that have been published elsewhere

Recipes

- Make other images in the post 864 x 1152. Images should be original, bright and realistic. No cartoons, drawings or animations. You may use your own logo if you have one.
- Make a Pinterest image to include at the end of the article
- Images in .jpeg or .jpg format
- No recipes that have been published elsewhere on the internet (books, eBooks and magazines are okay)
- Recipes should not include added oil, refined sugar or refined grains. Recipes should contain minimal salt.
